Statesboro, GA – In the final meet of the regular season, the Central Georgia Technical College men's cross team earned a first place finish in the GATA XC Classic hosted by Georgia Southern University.
The Titans edged out teams from Jacksonville University, Brewton-Parker College, and South Georgia State College, while scoring 27 points.
Luis Alvarado earned a first place finish while running a personal best of 27:13.35, more than 20 seconds ahead of the next finisher.
Coming in at third, freshman Ivan Guzman earned his best finish of the season with ta time of 27:51.14.
Tretavious Jones (28:36.12), Josh Flores (29:21.24), and Zak Brown (29:50.03) finished in sixth, 12th, and 17th place, respectively.
The Titans will have a quick break before competing in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Championship on October 27 in Milledgeville.
