Macon, GA – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Athletics Department has announced the men's basketball 2021-2022 season schedule. The Titans will play in 18 home games and 16 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) conference games, with a home-and-home series against South Georgia Technical College, South Georgia State College, Albany Technical College, Gordon State College, East Georgia State College, Andrew College, Georgia Highlands, and Southern Crescent Technical College.
Following four exhibition games in October, the Titans will open the regular season at home on November 2 against Action Sports Academy at Titans Arena in Macon.
The Titans will have some tough early season warm-ups against Gulf Coast State College (11/17), Sante Fe College (11/26), and Southern Union State Community College (12/8). The team will close out December in the PCB Convention Tournament in Panama City, Florida.
In their first conference game of the season, the Titans will travel to Rome on January 6 to face Georgia Highlands College.
The remaining 15 regular season games for the Titans will come against conference opponents. The Titans will face reining GCAA conference champs South Georgia State College on the road on January 13 and at home on February 12.
With a condensed season due to COVID-19, the CGTC men's basketball team finished the 2020-2021 season with a 12-10 overall record and a 7-9 record in the conference.
Returning for the Titans this season are Almamy Drame, Shalom Osoba, Bernard Nwoashai, and Mark Vance Jr. Drame and Vance Jr. were both selected to the 2021-2022 All-GCAA Pre-Season Men's Basketball Team.
