Macon, GA – Following a successful 2020 season, the Central Georgia Technical College cross country teams are ready to blaze the trails in 2021.

The men's and women's teams will participate in five regular season meets and the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) conference championship.

CGTC cross country will open the 2021 season on September 3 in the Valdosta State University (VSU) Border Clash in Valdosta, followed by the Georgia Military College (GMC) Brickyard Invitational on September 10. The following week, the Titans will compete in the Florida State University (FSU) XC Open on September 17.

Both teams will travel to Fairburn on October 2 for the Asics Invitational, and will close out the regular season on the road in Statesboro in the Georgia Southern University GATA XC Classic on Friday, October 15. The Titans will end the season in the GCAA Cross Country Championships on October 27 in Milledgeville.

The 2020-21 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships are scheduled to take place November 13, 2021 in Richmond, VA.

As the reigning GCAA champions, the CGTC men's cross country team will rely on the leadership of Luis Alvarado, the 2020 GCAA men's cross country runner of the year. The Titans also return Joshua Flores, Samuel Brown, and Tretavious Jones from last season.

As the sole returner on the women's team, Anna Ashe has high hopes on repeating her phenomenal season from a year ago. In 2020, Ashe was named the GCAA women's cross country runner of the year.
