Macon, Ga. – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) women's basketball program recently signed Andrew College transfer guard Alexis Cainion to their 2018-19 roster.
Cainion joins the Lady Titans after playing in 22 games for the Andrew College Lady Tigers during the 2017-18 season. In her freshman campaign, Alexis averaged 7.3 points and 2.9 rebounds, while shooting 37 percent from the field. She scored a career-high 24 points off 70 percent shooting versus conference foe Atlanta Metropolitan State College.
Prior to her collegiate career, Cainion was a four-year varsity basketball player at Warner Robins High School (WRHS), under former girl's basketball head coaches, Tracy Fendley and Tom Mobley.
New to the Lady Titans' program, Cainion will be met with a familiar face in former Demonette teammate, Victoria Brown, who is entering her second season with the Lady Titans.
"It will be great adding Alexis to our program," said CGTC head women's basketball coach, Antonio Harris. "She's from Warner Robins, played at Warner Robins High, and will now be reunited with her longtime backcourt mate, Victoria Brown."
"Anytime we can add middle Georgia players to our roster, we are gaining more support from the middle Georgia community," said Harris. "We are happy here at Central Georgia Tech to educate and prepare our student-athletes academically for the next step in life using their athletic ability."
The CGTC Lady Titans finished the 2017-18 season with a 22-10 overall record, and 13-5 in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA).
